WHAT IS POWDER COATING?

Powder coating is a dry finishing process where finely ground particles of pigment and resin are applied to metal parts using electricity. A spray gun applies an electrostatic charge to the powder particles, which are then attracted to the grounded parts. The parts then enter a curing oven, where the coating chemically reacts under heat, and melts into a smooth, uniform finish. We are Calgary powder coating!

WHAT CAN BE POWDER COATED?

Any metal part capable of holding an electrostatic charge, and capable of withstanding the curing process, can be powder coated. If you have any concerns on whether your parts are suitable for powder coating, send us an email and we will gladly answer all your questions.

WHY IS POWDER COATING BETTER?

Powder coated products are more resistant to scratches, chipping, abrasions, corrosion, fading, and other wear issues. Powder coating is also an environmentally friendly process that does not require the use of harmful solvents, like those found in liquid paints.
